Don’t Forget About You

Many blogs are written by experts, and this one is no exception.

I’m an expert at putting everyone else’s needs ahead of my own… at investing entirely in my children… at convincing myself that it’s a noble venture to disregard my own needs. But my expertise came at a very high cost to my family.

This is intended to be a collection of the lessons I’ve learned along the way, and the struggles I’ve encountered, as well as the ones I still encounter daily. Sort of a syllabus for “Don’t Forget About You 101.” I’m happy to share my experiences if someone can benefit from them. I’ll count myself lucky if I hear from others who have their own stories to share. No doubt you have some expertise of your own. Think of it as class participation, which will benefit us all.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Shannon, I love reading your blog! I can relate on so many levels and it does make you feel good to know that you are not alone in some the tasks, thoughts, and act of motherhood!
